MARIA EUGENIA MOYA
Hug me, hurt me
Series of sculptures that explore gestures of affection or pain through the abstraction and decontextualization of the gesture. The different materials and interactions among them propose a discourse based on their sensory characteristics. The aim is to relate the human body itself to the subtle gestures that each piece represents.
Steal, unfired clay, hair extensions, wood, plaster, borax crystals, colored cement, and faux fur
